The design roots of pq frames
Ron Arad has maintained a unique and prolific role in the art, architecture, and design world for over 30 years.
His ever-evolving body of work reflects his ability to innovate with cutting-edge technology while perfecting the ideals and techniques of hands-on craftsmanship. He continues to provoke the limits of his materials giving formal expression to seemingly unbuildable ideas. His work ranges from large scale architectural projects to small furniture design.
He has enjoyed solo exhibitions at the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Pompidou in Paris and MOMA at New York, and was Head of Design Products at the Royal College of Art in London for 12 years.
Most recently, Ron Arad has unveiled images of a complex underway in Tel Aviv, which is expected to become the tallest building in Israel. Currently under construction, ToHA will comprise two glazed towers – a smaller tower with 28 floors and a taller one rising up to 63 stories.
